The Riparian Institute, a 110-acre nature preserve, is one of the main draws, as well as the Big League Dreams Sports Park, which features scaled down replicas of famous baseball stadiums from around the country. Home to more than 26 parks, five aquatic centers and public pools, seven special use facilities and two libraries, this town offers something for everyone. Cosmo Dog Park, which has been named one of the best in the country, is another great example and offers a lake for dogs, and individual facilities for small or timid dogs. If you enjoy the arts, you will also find a number of local museums including the Gilbert Historical Society and the Heard Museum of Anthropology and Primitive Arts. Additionally, those residents who are avid golfers will find numerous world-class championship golf courses near-by. The perfect Arizona weather makes golf a year-round sport here in Arizona.
