Paradise Valley

Paradise Valley, Arizona is the epitome of luxury living in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.  Intimately nestled between Scottsdale to the east and Phoenix to the west, the town is an elegant collection of truly unparalleled homes and estates positioned in the shadows of the Camelback Mountain, Mummy Mountain, and the beautiful Phoenix Mountain Preserve. Residents praise the area for its meticulously maintained mature landscaping, rural desert look and feel, top-ranking schools, world-class resorts, and unmatched luxury housing options.  Offering beautiful nighttime city views, encompasses only 16-square miles and is filled with a wealth of old world charms and new-world comforts.  Often dubbed the “Beverly Hills of Arizona,” this city represents the most exceptional desert living available in the United States. Neighborhoods such as Camelback Country Club Estates and Paradise Valley Country Club are some of the most sought-after communities in the Phoenix area.

Living in Paradise Valley

More than just unparalleled natural surroundings and gorgeous landscape, living here means having access to some of the regions finest amenities, golf courses, resorts and spas.  Home to a population of little more than 14,400 residents, this city continues to draw some of the state’s most affluent professionals, families, and retirees.  Whether you’re looking to enjoy a round of golf with friends at the Paradise Valley Country Club, a relaxing massage or skin care treatment at the Blue Door Spa, or an evening of fine dining and drinks,  it is all here.  As one might imagine, a number of famous residents both past and present, including Billy Graham, Mike Tyson, Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, Sandra Day O’Conner, Glenn Campbell, former MLB player Mark Grace, and Dan Quayle to name just a few.

Schools, Health and Transportation

The area’s youngest residents receive their education from the Paradise Valley Unified School district. Home to 32 elementary schools, eight middle schools, and six high schools, the district is responsible for more than 33,000 students making it the seventh largest in the state.  The School Department is  one of the largest employers, with approximately 3,800 full-time certified teachers and educational support professionals.

The Paradise Valley Hospital, part of Abrazo Health, is a full-service acute care hospital offering state-of-the-art technology and care to area residents. Expanded rehabilitation services, enhanced diagnostic imaging and dedicated women’s programs are just a few of the hospital’s offerings.

Located from Shea Boulevard to Camelback Road, stretching from Scottsdale Road to 32nd Street, transportation in and out of the city is easy, with several main arteries running through the community.

Parks and Recreation

Paradise Valley is perhaps best known for its world-class resorts and hotels such as the Camelback Inn, The Sanctuary Resort and Spa on Camelback Mountain, The Phoenician and more.  While these destinations are ideal for well-heeled visitors looking to relax, they are also a great spot where “locals” can enjoy a night of dining and friendship. Recreational opportunities for golf, hiking and tennis are also particularly plentiful in Paradise Valley and can be found ranging from world-class resort facilities to well-maintained public courses and parks.  In addition to the Paradise Valley Country Club, which is a private, 18-hole championship Par-72 course, the Stonecreek Golf Club is one of the most notable in the Phoenix Valley, and offers a semi-private, 18-hole championship Par-71 course. Both courses stretch more than 6,800-yards.

Shopping and Dining

Interestingly, to protect the integrity and exclusivity, there are no large commercial centers within the city.  The nearby cities of Phoenix and Scottsdale provide a wealth of amenities and luxuries that residents do not mind driving to. For necessities, there are a handful of local shops and convenience stores available to residents.
